Your Five Day Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Morning departure from local area. We journey to Inverness via Moffat where we will have a short stop before continuing our journey, arriving at the Palace Hotel later in the afternoon. Welcome drinks on arrival followed by evening dinner.
Day 2: After breakfast rejoin the coach for a full day excursion, we start the day by visiting Loch Ness with chance for some serious Nessie spotting. Rejoin the coach later in the morning and continue onto Drumnadrochhit to Urquhart Castle, situated on the banks of Loch Ness, it remains an impressive stronghold despite its ruinous state. Once one of Scotland’s largest castles, Urquhart’s remains include a tower house that commands splendid views of the famous loch and Great Glen. We finish the excursion by visiting Fort Augustus before travelling back to the hotel for your evening meal.
Day 3: Full free day to explore Inverness. Inverness is the City in the Highlands where you'll find the warmest of welcomes - whether you choose to visit, explore, shop, relax or just live Inverness. It's in the peoples nature to be friendly and helpful, and they enjoy to speak craic - Gaelic for chat and light-hearted conversation.
Day 4: We depart hotel after breakfast and journey to the small town of Elgin on the Banks of the River Lossie. Elgin today is a city steeped in history, ruined castle on a hill, classical town centre, award winning museum, restored 18th century town houses and wynds, beautiful cathedral with the nearby Bishops House, and the Cooper Park gifted to the town by George Cooper in 1903. In the afternoon rejoin the coach and journey to the Baxter's Highland Village at Fochabers. Experience the magic of the Baxter's story through audio-visual presentation and sample some of the wonderful produce. The Village welcomes 220,000 visitors a year.
Day 5: Sadly, we depart hotel after breakfast and begin our journey home stopping at Pitlochry en-route for a short stop. Regular comfort stops en-route, arriving local area in the evening.*Please note itinerary is subject to change.
