Your Four Day Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Morning departure from local area. We travel north into Scotland via Dumfries and follow the beautiful coast road up to Stranraer then onto Irvine with regular comfort stops en-route, arriving at the four star Menzies Irvine Hotel, mid afternoon. After your evening meal, you have free time at leisure to relax.
Day 2: We depart the hotel after breakfast and journey to Gourock for our Three Islands Tour. This tour takes us on a magical full day journey around some of South West Scotlands most captivating islands and scenery. The islands of Scotland are some of the most enchanting places on earth. Even the tiniest of them has its own individual character and charm. Dramatic sunsets, spectacular scenery and a traditional Scottish island welcome are just a few of the things that await you.
Day 3: We depart the hotel after breakfast and travel to the beautiful Scottish town of Troon for shopping and sightseeing. Troon is famous for its Royal Troon Golf Club founded in 1878. Once a busy freight port and shipbuilders, Troon is now a focus for cruise ship docking, a marina for pleasure crafts. Troon has a busy town centre with a variety of shops, facilities and amenities. The harbour is a centre for leisure sailing in the Firth of Clyde. *After lunch we rejoin the coach and journey onto Ayr. Ayr is the capital town of Ayrshire with numerous sights to see. Largest of the Clyde Coast holiday towns, Ayr lies in the very centre of the famous Firth of Clyde playground, 32 miles South-West of Glasgow, it looks out on the glorious panorama of the Firth, with the majestic peaks of Arran in the foreground and the Mull of Kintyre in the background. The beautiful Ayrshire countryside provided the inspiration for some of the finest verses of the National Bard of Scotland, Robert Burns.
Day 4: Sadly after breakfast we depart our hotel and begin our journey home. We travel along the Galloway tourist route taking in towns such Sanquar and Thornhill. Time permitting we may stop for a short visit to one of these idyllic towns before continuing our journey home. Regular comfort stops will be made available en-route. We arrive back to local area mid afternoon.
